Chairs in hospitals must be upholstered in coated fabrics that can be cleaned and disinfected with hospital grade cleaners and disinfectants. These coated fabrics are slippery, which reduces comfort and safety as the user slides forward away from the back support and, in some cases, off the chair. Frixion Healthcare Upholstery is the solution to this problem. It is created by misting a proprietary high friction polyurethane material onto the fabric and allows the user to stay firmly positioned in their seat.
