Details

The Pavilion is located on the Goetheanum grounds, which boasts centuries of horticultural expertise. It creates a covered outdoor space where gardeners prepare biodynamic samples and host presentations and workshops. Its most striking feature is its large, organic roof, designed with twisted wooden rafters reminiscent of blossoming flowers. The structure creates a connection to the nearby “Heizhaus” and blends seamlessly into the surroundings.

The Jury‘s Statement

The characterful, organically shaped roof impresses with its striking wooden structure and forms the centerpiece of the »Präparatepavillon«. With subtle elegance, the construction blends into the historic garden landscape, creating a harmonious transition between nature and architecture. Consistent design and the authentic fusion of function and aesthetics distinguish the project as a convincing example of forward-looking, publicly accessible architecture.
