Sky Concert Hall

The "Sky Concert Hall" sits at an altitude of 1,430 meters atop a mountain. As a landmark at the end of the ridge trail, it offers a stunning vantage point overlooking a sea of alpine azaleas. Landscape and viewing requirements, extreme site constraints, and demanding natural conditions informed the design of the building's form and structure. The 13-meter steel-and-wood cantilever minimizes disturbance to the lower mountain, while simultaneously alluding to the azalea leaves and the desire to sail across the world.
