The lot was a vacant lot in an established residential neighborhood dating from the 1970s. The surrounding buildings on either side are quite densely arranged. Because of the narrow residential street, the buildings across the street have a clear view of the lot. For this reason, a residential building was designed that consistently shields itself from the street, with a striking slit marking the entrance. A private atrium has been created on the upper floor. This space features glass-enclosed bathrooms that offer privacy despite the abundant natural light. The closed street-facing facade is marked by a distinctive slit.
