Details

The design of the house was shaped by two main challenges: a historically evolved setting and strict design regulations. From in-depth discussions with the clients and a close reading of the planning framework, a clear architectural concept emerged – the interlocking of two building volumes: a functional service wing and a clearly structured main residence.

The Jury‘s Statement

The charismatic interlocking of two distinct building volumes gives »Haus B III« a striking identity within its sensitive, historic context. The subtle balance between the functional wing and the structured living space reflects a confident response to complex parameters. Especially impressive is how consistently and elegantly the project links site-specific requirements with timeless residential quality—a remarkable example of contemporary architecture.
