Visconde da Luz Building

This urban rehabilitation project in Cascais by Miguel Arruda Arquitectos Associados harmonizes contemporary design with its local heritage. By respecting the existing morpho-typology, heights, and roof geometries, it achieves a seamless integration. Using white plaster and glass, the design creates an abstract facade playing with light, shadow, and transparency. A main focus is transforming backyards into permeable green spaces, bridging past and present through modern architecture.
