Details

Goryeong-gun is a city in Korea where vestiges of the ancient civilization of ‘Daegaya’, which existed about 2,000 years ago, still remain. The ‘Jisandong Tumula’, located at the foot of the mountain in Goryeong-gun, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023. Home to more than 700 tombs, the site retains vestiges of the mysterious Daegaya civilization, which we represented by combining the letters of Goryeong with design motifs based on the ‘Jisandong Tumula’.

The city brand employs historical and cultural elements to visualize the identity of Goryeong-gun in an impressive manner. By combining typography with design motifs, the mystical Daegaya civilization is brought to life, creating a distinctive visual identity that honors the past while engaging with the present.
