Details
The Swiss Pavilion blends architecture, scenography, and sustainability into a light and innovative experience. Created by Bellprat Partner, Nüssli, Manuel Herz Architects, and Robin Winogrond, it marks Switzerland’s most sustainable Expo presence yet. The overall theme is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” visitors journey through five spheres. From a monumental paper cut-out to interactive visions of the future and to Heidi under a rainbow. A highlight is the soap bubble installation, it turns light, water and air into pure magic. Instead of a digital overload, the pavilion creates atmospheres that inspire and leave lasting memories.
The Jury‘s Statement
A subtly staged interplay of architecture, scenography and sustainability defines the »Schweizer Pavillon an der Expo 2025 Osaka«. The five spheres create atmospheric spaces whose analogue qualities fascinate in an increasingly digital age. Especially the poetic soap bubble installation stands out as an identity-defining highlight. The consistent use of sustainable materials and emotional experiences sets a powerful, contemporary benchmark in this context and clearly deserves Gold.
