The pool area of the traditional Hotel Europäischer Hof in Hamburg extends over two floors and was given a contemporary upgrade as part of an extensive refurbishment. In the middle of the city, a harmonious design language, earthy colours, and natural materials have created a relaxing retreat. The rhythmisation of surfaces and spatial sequences, as well as a lighting design that plays with transparencies and reflections, creates the desired meditative yet sensual atmosphere.
