Details
The Tintorum in Klausen, once a 15th-century poorhouse, has awakened from its long slumber. Vaulted ceilings, natural stone walls, and the paneled parlor whisper centuries of lived history, while light, loggias, and clean lines introduce subtle contemporary touches. Historic structures have been preserved, superfluous elements removed, and new interventions discreetly integrated. Four apartments merge modern comfort with authentic character, and the cellar shines as a luminous cosmetic studio. Furniture, steel, and glass blend with care, while wood and natural materials evoke calm. A quiet luxury that gracefully entwines past and present.
The Jury‘s Statement
The sensitively staged interplay of old and new gives »Tintorum« a charismatic, quiet presence. Historic structures are preserved with respect, while clear lines, light, and selectively chosen materials offer a modern interpretation. The spaces radiate tranquility and subtle elegance. What is especially impressive is the harmonious integration of all elements, which lends the place a timeless identity and an impressive atmospheric density—outstanding in its consistency.
