The towers are positioned on the edge of a quay on the island. In earlier times this quay housed a coal storage for the ships. The burnt wooden cladding of the towers gives a nod back to that period and absorbs the light, almost creating visually negative space. The design is a mix of influence by traditional wooden constructions and a step into the future, energy independent with the south wall covered in solar panels. The towers frame a private view of both the sea below and the skies above.
