Jasper Morrison
Morrison was born in London in 1959 and founded his design studio, Jasper Morrison Ltd, in 1986. He is best known for his minimalist furniture, which impresses with its simple elegance and unobtrusive presence. But his designs go far beyond furniture - from electronics for brands such as Samsung to the design of the tram in Hanover, Morrison has applied his philosophy to a wide variety of areas.

For his influence on the design world and his consistent approach to bringing form and function into a natural harmony, the jury of the German Design Awards 2020 honoured Jasper Morrison with the Personality of the Year award.
