Details

The Betta DreamWorks International Innovation Center in Hangzhou, China spans 275,000 m² as a biomedical industrial complex evolving into diversified urban development. An internal thoroughfare divides the project into two zones: The high-rise zone features mixed-use towers housing laboratories, offices, and hotels around a central park. The low-rise zone adopts flexible layouts with smaller buildings creating spaces for commercial and support functions. The design features natural water surfaces surrounded by hundreds of trees. Open-air atriums shaded by greenery, transforming the biomedical R&D core into a dynamic mixed-use environment.

A striking interplay of nature and functionality defines »Betta DreamWorks International Innovation Center«. The harmonious arrangement of high-rise and low-rise buildings, open atriums and green water features creates a coherent link between work environments and relaxation. This project stands out in particular for its charismatic spatial organization and the impressive integration of open space qualities at an outstanding level.
