Details
Dockyard, built using sustainable hybrid timber construction, comprises a square and a rectangular structure connected by a glass passageway with exposed timber framework. Dockyard optimises its ecological footprint by using certified timber from sustainable forestry in its supports, framework and ceilings, as well as recycled concrete and recycled steel. With an innovative energy concept that intelligently combines several renewable sources, the building operates in a climate-neutral manner. The utilisation concept creates ideal conditions for a sustainable working environment – flexible and user-centred.

Sustainability is consistently and visibly realized at »Dockyard«—from its striking timber hybrid structure to its thoughtful energy concept. The glass bridge with distinctive timber framework links two volumes into a harmonious whole. This project stands out for its sustainable construction, versatile usability, and aesthetic clarity. An all-around outstanding solution for forward-thinking public architecture.
