Details

The architects chose a relatively simple silhouette that would serve as a benchmark and be easily perceived by the high-speed cars passing along the two boulevards and the roundabout. Implementing the program at a height has other advantages - freeing up more areas for landscaping and providing unique views of the sea and the city from the rooms. The movement and speed also inspired the colour solution of the facade, which is a pixelated spiral rotating around the parallelepiped of the building.

The Jury‘s Statement

The colorful pixel pattern of the façade refers to the surroundings and thereby sympathetically softens the formal severity of the architecture. The building's height makes it a landmark and at the same time offers a fantastic view of the nearby sea.
