Details
The project's inception was inspired by the subtle whispers of the surrounding environment and the client's quest for protection and refuge. It pondered the notions of feeling safe and addressing vulnerability, evoking an image of a scared child beneath a light bedsheet, cautiously peeking out to observe their surroundings. The act of pulling a bedsheet over oneself represents the most elemental form of self-protection.
The Jury‘s Statement
This fantastic design for a weekend house in the middle of wild nature as a retreat, interprets the feeling of security under a comforter. A beautiful, emotionally touching approach that has been translated here into an extremely elegant and very high-quality architecture. The fact that the house, with its gently curved roof, also integrates perfectly into the surrounding landscape is another positive aspect of this poetic work.
