The Dutch Nationale Opera & Ballet’s fragmented brand needed to be rebranded into one open and inviting brand, providing space for the various disciplines of the institution with a digital-first approach. Creative workshops elicited the brand promise, “Part of something greater than yourself.” From this, we created one strong brand with a very distinct identity. The design starts from the brand promise, with an upward, transcendent movement and the art of omission at its core. This creates a choreography of elements. The motion design emphasizes the uplifting feeling. The flexible grid provides a stage and ensures consistency.
