The Gärtnerplatztheater Munich is one of the most renowned and versatile musical theatres in Germany. Opened in 1865 as a popular theatre, it has a long tradition. To open a new chapter, Schmid/Widmaier was commissioned to develop the new visual identity and advertising material for the coming seasons. The diversity and colourfulness of the program was an important aspect in emphasizing the identity and distinguishing the theatre from other theatres. The new brand design communicates openness and diversity, while the visual system leaves enough room for new variations in terms of content and design.
