The premise of destilat's design was to deliberately curate the material possibilities of the TDW material labs. To add more tension to the space, supposed skylights were constructed using mirrored ceiling cut-outs. The central element is the natural stone counter with a brushed metal surface, which runs across the room, intersects different zones, and cleverly conceals both the back office and the bar. A sense of restraint is evident in the homogeneous design of the walls and floor, creating a coherent architectural framework that can be reinterpreted again and again.

A subtly curated selection of materials defines »TDW_material lab«, creating a powerful yet harmonious spatial effect. The distinctive natural stone counter with brushed metal surface connects functional zones and establishes a memorable spatial axis. Mirrored ceiling insets provide targeted highlights, giving the room a fascinating sense of depth. This project impresses with its confident atmosphere, expressive design, and consistently outstanding functionality at the highest level.
