ODE TO HERO-Chaozhou Oolong Tea

This is a collector’s series of oolong tea packaging, featuring leaves sourced from ancient tea trees in Phoenix Mountain, Chaozhou, China—a globally renowned origin for premium oolong tea. The design draws inspiration from Yingge Dance, a vibrant local folk tradition in Chaoshan region that blends martial arts, theater, and dance. The performers embody heroic characters from Water Margin, a classic Chinese novel, symbolizing valor and protection. We reinterpreted four iconic heroes through illustrations, capturing their dynamic movements using long-exposure and multi-flash photography techniques.
