Details
The Waldhotel Park in Vaduz transforms a historic site into a lively, ecological and socially inviting landscape. Inspired by the former Waldhotel (1932-1974), old trees are being preserved, native plants reintroduced and valuable habitats created. Shady seating areas, open meadows and barrier-free paths invite you to linger. Water-permeable soil and a dense tree population make the park a model for climate-resilient green spaces.
The Jury‘s Statement
A fascinating interplay of history and nature defines the »Waldhotelpark Vaduz«. The harmonious integration of mature trees, diverse plantings, and generous open spaces creates a place with a strong sense of identity. Shaded areas and accessible paths foster social inclusion. With permeable surfaces and dense greenery, the project stands out as a powerful example of sustainable, climate-resilient open space at the highest design level.
