It can therefore make sense to take a closer look and supplement a mammogram with tomosynthesis, also known as 3D mammography. This method enables better detection of pathological tissue changes and increases the cancer detection rate, while at the same time reducing the number of false-positive findings. The campaign aims to raise awareness of this procedure.
