With the Brasserie VICO, the Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern has redefined two previously separate restaurant areas both architecturally and conceptually. The new layout with niches, benches, a raised platform and a chef’s table structures the space and responds to different guest needs. Historic elements such as chandeliers, stucco and fireplaces have been respectfully integrated. Colour scheme, materiality and furnishings are precisely coordinated. The lighting design supports the spatial composition, highlights characteristic architectural features and creates nuanced atmospheres depending on the time of day.
