Details
The Blueriot project transforms a 1990s office, solving its lack of daylight. Central to the redesign is the 16-metre “whale wing,” made of aluminium, 3D-printed parts, and Barrisol membrane, spanning two arched glass panels. The underside is finished with micro-perforated Barrisol Acoustic membrane, which contributes to improved acoustic absorption (reflection attenuation) and ensures an even light diffusion. The form of the object also helps to optimise airflow as part of the HVAC system. Inspired by aviation and ocean themes, the design features coral red, deep blue, raw concrete, and plant-covered pillars linking tech and nature.
