Here’s how it works:

Registration

To participate in the Public Choice Award, you must first register. (This is a one-off process. We won’t send you any unnecessary emails, and we won’t pass your information on to third parties.)
To register, enter your first and last name, email address and choose a password. Once you’ve created your account, we will send you a confirmation email. If you do not receive an email within 30 minutes, check your spam folder.
Once you’ve clicked on the confirmation link in the email, you will be able to participate in the Public Choice voting in our online winners gallery.

Voting

In the winners gallery, for each project from the current competition year, you will find a voting option at the bottom of the page. If you are logged in, clicking this field will take you to your account.
Each participant has five votes, which they can assign to any project they wish. However, you can only give one vote per project.
You can cancel and reassign your votes at any time. You can consult also your user account at any time to see how many points the Top 5 projects have.
The project with the most votes will be honoured with the Public Choice Award.
Voting will remain open until 17 January 2020.

Personal watchlists

Your user account also allows you to create personal watchlists and add as many winner projects to them as you wish. This is a great way to keep an overview of all your German Design Awards favourites.
You can also share your personal watchlists via social media and email. To do this, make sure that your list is a “public list”.
