Description

E-LOUNGE is a charging point for e-bikes, smartphones and human beings. But also an innovative designer bench that’s so simple it blends beautifully into its surroundings. The bench is lit up at night. An option with WiFi and other customisable features are also possible.

Statement of the jury

Public charging stations for electric cars have long since become a standard fixture in many cities and towns. However, up until now such facilities have been few and far between for e-bikes – which is why the underlying concept of the E-Lounge is so exciting and intriguing. We were also impressed by how successfully the concept was executed. A product that has been consistently thought through down to the last detail, that is a joy to behold in public places, that is an appealing venue for social interaction, and that at the same time serves as a strong advocate for modern and eco-friendly mobility through the use of natural materials such as wood and metal. Exemplary.
