Mezzi Master Cultural Centre

Description

Mezzi Master is a 4-storey bookshop and exhibition space. The theme, staircase, is a metaphor for the acquisition of knowledge through reading. The dark red sculptural staircase with stylish steps serves as product display platform and seating for readers. In the exhibition area, white prism-shaped stands are custom-made to match with the theme. They can be arranged in four ways for different exhibitions, and can be used to divide the exhibition space into sections.

Statement of the jury

The idea of transposing knowledge gained through reading into a striking ascending red staircase has been impressively executed in this intriguingly sculptural interior design. A major achievement that is complemented by the oversized room dividers in the exhibition area.
