Description

The design highlights the importance of sounds in movies. Throughout the cinema, wavy 3D red metal tubes stretch along the wall to represent sound waves. They turn into a horizontal straight line, representing stillness and provide seats for visitors. At different times of the day, natural light passes through the red glass door and enter the lobby, colouring the whole space in red and creating a varied atmosphere. The auditorium wall pattern also resembles the curvy sound waves in the lobby.

Statement of the jury

This intriguing design, with its installation comprising pipes bent into wave-like elements, takes as its theme a typical audio graphic and thus evokes movie soundtracks. A fun, intelligently executed and extremely striking interior.
