Description

Reconstruction and completion of the facility of the »Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry« of the CAS covered a full reconstruction and technological modernisation of the existing structures and extension of the facility with new buildings, with the objective of creating a well arranged, logically segmented IOCB facility in compliance with the requirements for the needs of the current top-level scientific workplace.

Statement of the jury

The skeletal steel structure appears to be the only thing containing the balloon-like dilation. A fantastic building design that also radiates a pleasant transparency and candour due to its all-round glazing.
