The Imprint at Paradise City

The Imprint at Paradise City

Description

The Imprint comprises two buildings, a nightclub and indoor theme park, located less than 1 km from Incheon Airport. The design arises from a simple question: Can we design an expressive façade that connects with its surroundings without windows? This is achieved by imprinting the façades of the surrounding buildings as a relief pattern onto the project’s façades. Other features include the entrances, where the façades are lifted like curtains, and the eye-catching gold spot.

Statement of the jury

The three-dimensional relief effect of the texture gives the two buildings a distinctive aesthetic that makes them unmistakable and eye-catching. The unique folds that make the building look like it’s made from rubber, something that amazes onlookers, are clearly a great success.
