House Hribljane

Description
Hribljane, a small hamlet, is one in a string of a few little villages that lie between Rakitna and Cerknica. A deep serenity, interrupted only by an occasional encounter with a bear, rules the forests. Investors would like a well-arranged shelter on the countryside, with enough space to hold a large garden and a dozen sheep. Jazbine stream, running by the ruins of the old mill, crosses the plot, which is used as a local winter sledge slope.
Statement of the jury
The construction of the house, comprising rows of uniform modules, makes the building process highly efficient and flexible. While the wood inside creates a comfortable living atmosphere, the outside connects the building with the surrounding nature.
