Description

Burgers made of insect protein – the food of the future. For the start-up Bold Foods the brand had to be developed as a basis for a bold package design. Buffalo worms are rich in proteins and resource-friendly. The packaging had to reflect these benefits and succeed in the burger category, even if the main ingredient sounds unusual. A self-confident, modern design was created using strong colours, clarity and bold letters that ensuring people in the supermarket stop and look.

Statement of the jury

Foods made from insect protein are a new trend. But the idea of eating insects still makes many people sceptical. The striking design of the packaging arouses curiosity and ensures that the package cannot be missed on the shelf. The youthful and fresh-looking design presents the product in a highly appetising way, allowing preconceived notions to fade into the background.
