Statement of the jury

The innovative and also visually attractive Zip Top containers made of food-safe silicone are not only a real alternative to conventional plastic containers – they even surpass them in terms of usability. Because they are made from 100% silicone, they can even be used to reheat food in the oven, in addition to the microwave. Since they are opened and closed by means of a zipper, they do not need a lid and therefore consist of a single component. The containers can simply be placed in the dishwasher for cleaning. The tapered ends allow liquids to be easily poured out. A clever product that can be reused for a long time and thus also meets sustainability requirements.
