Re-enchanting the Champs-Élysées

Re-enchanting the Champs-Élysées

Description

PCA-STREAM has intensified its research with a new study undertaken at the request of the Comité Champs-Élysées. Through its analysis of the history of the Champs-Élysées and its diagnosis, the studio draws a parallel between the local context and the broader issues of our urban global condition. With the support of researchers, creatives and citizens, we present a scientific and cross-disciplinary approach, both sensory and analytical, to create more sustainable, desirable and inclusive cities.

Statement of the jury

The Champs-Élysées in Paris is one of the most famous boulevards in the world and presents itself in this design as an attractive combination of living space and lifeline, in which mobility and pedestrians enjoy equal rights. An interesting study that integrates harmoniously into the historical cityscape whilst at the same time sending out progressive and sustainable impulses.
