Danbury, a manufacturer of optical systems for space and defence missions, became a standalone business for the first time in history in 2020. We developed an entirely new brand, based on the notion of foresight – seeing the unseen, in order to safely undertake some of the most important missions around. All with inspiration from the movement of travelling light, together with visual cues from space and defence.


Statement of the jury

The appearance of »Danbury« translates the theme of light as an indispensable component of optical systems extremely skilfully into an abstract graphic world, giving the brand an unmistakable and at the same time serious identity in terms of form and colour.
