Description

The interior of this unique cinema in China follows a concept that must plainly and simply be described as highly rigorous. It works with iconographic elements of early filmmaking such as spotlights hung on striking scissor lift chains, which provide a fascinating play of light and shadow. Visitors are greeted by bright these spotlights in the cashpoint area, making them feel like stars in front of the camera. The use of dark and metallic materials provides an industrial/raw ambiance and a behind-the-scenes charm. Nevertheless, the design does not seem either frivolous or clichéd, but minimal and exactly considered. A very beautiful and poetic design that never misses the mark.
