Description

Valle Aurelia is a public train station located in Rome, Italy, and renovated in 2017 by AMAART Architects. The lighting design by D’Alesio&Santoro has been a crucial asset to this transformation, merging the architectural vision with laws and regulations. Throughout the facility, one can enjoy a sense of consistency thanks to the incorporation of lighting scenarios within the architecture.

Statement of the jury

The lighting concept, which has been thought through down to the last detail, does more than just light the space; it also helps with orientation and creates a friendly atmosphere overall. In addition, it manages to emphasize the architectural structures and proportions of the building in all their clarity in a comprehensible way.
