Based on castor oil, the futuristic frame is made of the brand’s own material natural3D with state-of-the-art 3D technology. Lotte & Hans convinces with flexibility, lightness and long color intensity by using special surface technology. A malleable titanium needle integrated in the temple ensures individual adjustment and special wearing comfort.

Statement of the jury

The »Lotte & Hans« sun glasses are produced using the latest in 3D printing technology; the material used for the frames is made of 100 per cent castor oil and thus based on sustainable raw materials. The glasses are made even more sustainable in that they are printed using renewable energy. Another special feature of the design lies in the metal inserts, which are integrated into the 3D-printed sides, allowing these to be adjusted without the use of heat. A solution was also found to combat the material's typical "bleeding" through the use of an innovative surface technology, which also gives the glasses a pleasant feel. A compact hinge bearing the logo makes the extraordinary design concept of these wonderfully light glasses perfect. A cool, laid-back lifestyle product, which also makes a confident statement for climate and environmental protection with its sustainable production method, which unfortunately is still not common in this sector.
