House In The Forest

Description

This is a weekend house where a beautiful forest stretches over sloping land. The house is divided into two wings which are connected with a skywalk, in order not to disturb the stream of the forest and making the forest seem like a courtyard. Plans were carefully examined in order to keep the environmental impact of the construction to a minimum. We successfully created a space with friendliness and subtleness through many quest-like dialogues in the forest.

Statement of the jury

The roofed bridge connects the two wings of the house together, creating the illusion of an inner courtyard and an extremely close connection to the forest. An interesting element that complements the function of the residential architecture and adds a special touch.
