DAM-Villa is a suspended home with a double structural cantilever of 16 by 18 metres over the horizon of Beirut, on a sloped plot filled with pine trees. The intervention allowed the landscape not only to inhabit the house on all floors, but also to take the role of a natural invader while altering the spatial hierarchy of the Villa. DAM-Villa is a celebration of the five senses through the four Mediterranean seasons, allowing a unique experience between the mass and the void.
Statement of the jury
The penetration of the architecture with natural elements across multiple floors makes the design unique. A fantastic design, which makes the seasonal changes tangible to all the senses.
