The ICHU piramids
Pyramids are a universal geometric form, a symbol of harmony, used countless times in architecture and design. This design offers a new interpretation of the traditional form – an unusual artistic object consisting of three pyramids, which are transformed into chairs and a fireplace. Items created with a high quality of polished aluminium alloy. Teak seats in which holes are drilled and water can drain down.
Statement of the jury
Outwardly representing an experimental new approach to traditional household elements, the ICHU piramids present as bold, futuristic and inventive. The pyramids appear to reimagine the traditional chair and fireplace, utilising existing geometric forms that are transformable, combining high tech and traditional materials in a new and novel way.
